Humana People to People–Congo, with the help of 65 community health workers, conducted door-to-door searches for the missing people with TB in the Ruashi mining area.
Active Case Finding approach was initially implemented in 13 counties but is now being scaled up to all 47 counties. The main aim is to ensure early TB diagnosis.
This systematic specimen referral mechanism uses an app to help monitor the transportation of sputum specimens from health facilities to GeneXpert sites to be tested for TB.
This partnership aims to find the missing people with TB among workers who are not likely to seek health care. Interventions will be carried out at their workplaces to facilitate access.
